1. What is Miko?

Miko is the AI learning coach that educates, engages and entertains kids and supports parents. With a super-powered brain, supportive personality and personalized learning experiences, Miko 3 boosts kids' all-around development. With Miko Parent App, parents stay involved in every step of their child's learning journey and can even make secure video calls directly to the robot.

2. Who would benefit from buying Miko?
  • Kids age 5+. Kids can have a dialogue with Miko (real, educational & age-appropriate conversations). Kids can dance with Miko, learn coding, spelling, geography, math and have fun while doing it.
  • Parents can have more time for themselves as kids play with Miko. They feel peace of mind as Miko is not allowing kids to access the Internet. They are happy to see their child participating in social, physical and cognitive education.
  • Grandparents could join video call and talk to their granchildren face to face live on Miko (this enhancement of Mikonnect App is coming soon).

5. How does it work?

It works via secure Wi-Fi. After purchase, plug Miko into charging socket, connect it to your home's Wi-Fi (or any other Wi-Fi for example your phone's hotspot), tap "Update" and all 53 apps will be uploaded on your Miko.

15. How to do face-training so Miko can recognize my child's face better?

When setting up Miko, you’ll be given the option of having your child complete Face Training, which is Miko’s facial recognition feature. Miko uses facial recognition to help your child have a personalized, interactive experience with their robot. Completing Face Training helps Miko recognize your child when it wakes up from sleep mode, and during games like I Seek You. However, facial recognition is optional and not required to use your robot. Miko is serious about your family's privacy and security. All facial recognition data is stored locally on your robot — never on the cloud. If you complete Face Training and decide later that you want to remove this data from your robot, you can initiate a factory reset at any time through the Parent App.

16. How do I get Miko to say my child’s name?

Once the child has completed the face training in the Profile section, there are 3 situations, in which Miko will say your child's name:

  1. Say “Hello Miko” and ask: "What is my name?"
  2. Wake Miko up from sleep by pressing a power button and have child in front of Miko's camera which is turned on. Miko will say: "Oh, hello Johny" for example.
  3. When child plays Journeys, Miko sometimes say the child's name in order to encourage child to play.

Yes, it works on a Cylindrical Li-ion Battery, 7.2V, 5000mAh (36Wh)

23. How to charge Miko?

Here is a video tutorial about it. Miko 3’s packaging box includes a USB to USB-C charging wire. You can use any adaptor to charge your Miko. We advise you to charge your Miko 3 using the provided wire only.

24. How long does it take to charge Miko 3?

15 Vatts charger takes 4-5 hours to charge Miko 3.

25. How long will Miko's battery last?
  • Heavy usage: 5-6 hours
  • Standby mode: 24 hours
26. What is covered under Miko 3 warranty?

Miko 3 is covered by a one-year manufacturing warranty in case of manufacturing defects. We also offer one extra year of extended warranty with Miko Max subscription, provided the local regulations are already not mandating additional duration of warranties.

27. How much does it cost to repair my Miko 3?

The repair cost varies depending upon the extent of repairs required, and if it's a valid warranty claim. When your Miko reaches our service center, our repair technician performs a pre-check to identify any issues and provides a quotation for repair services, if applicable.

28. How does Miko help kids learn computer coding?

The Miko 3 platform is home to a huge range of educational content, including KidloLand Coding School. A Google award-winning coding app, KidloLand Coding School helps kids discover the world of coding through 1,000+ levels that are equal parts challenging and fun. You can explore Coding School for free or get unlimited access with your Miko Max subscription.

29. What is Miko Max subscription?

Miko Max subscription unlocks 50K+hours of premium content for kids.

30. What is the difference between Tidbits and Journeys?

Tidbits are back-and-forth conversations about a variety of age-specific school topics. Journeys are mini learning challenges (sometimes physical activities) for which kids earn gems and redeem for rewards. Tidbits are designed around school curriculum for different age groups.

31. In what ways kids can talk with Miko?

Kids can talk with miko in three core ways:

  1. Asking Miko questions from the command library (say: "Hello Miko" - wait 1 second - ask your question).
